The Churches represented in Minster are walking a short walk with the cross from the Abbey, via St Mary’s Church to the Salvation Army on Good Friday for reflection and prayer.

2.00pm ‘The Cross of Christ’
An inclusive service with teaching following the Common Worship Lectionary, choir led, with more traditional hymns
Celebration Holy Communion
A service with hymns/songs, bible readings and a talk; with prayers for all.
A comfortable, inclusive, contemporary-style service. Music lead by organ with a blend of hymns and more contemporary music. There are activities for all ages.
All four Benefice churches will host part of the day.
‘Walk the Walk’ isn’t just for those who come to church. Anyone is welcome to join in at any point.
We only ask that you let us know in advance if you would like lunch and/or supper (see below).
All drinks and food will be provided: donations to offset the costs will be invited on the day.

The Programme
Starting at Chislet at 9am with refreshments followed by a ‘light-touch’ Communion service.
After a 3.8 mile walk to St. Nicholas, lunch at approx. 12.30 (lunch needs to be booked, please).
Then to Monkton for 2.30pm Worship.
Finally, the last leg of approx. 3 miles to Minster for Closing Worship in the church at approx. 4.30pm followed by soup and crusty bread in the Old School Hall (which needs to be booked, please)
