Kingsnorth + Shadoxhurst: Kingsnorth

At Kingsnorth & Shadoxhurst Churches (part of the Ashford Town Parish) we exist to help you discover Jesus, deepen your faith, and find hope and purpose in everyday life. Our vision is simple but powerful:

Sharing God’s love, igniting hope, and investing in community.

We are an intergenerational Christian community, children, young people, families, and older generations, growing together in the way of Jesus. We believe everyone is welcome, everyone belongs, and everyone has a part to play in God’s story.

Our life together is rooted in history and hope. St Michael & All Angels, Kingsnorth, has stood here since the 14th century and is a testament to centuries of prayer, worship, and community life. Today, that ancient building is alive with new life — hosting worship, prayer, children’s work, community meals, concerts, and hospitality.

A short distance away, St Peter & St Paul, Shadoxhurst continues to offer quiet beauty, reflective worship, and sacramental space, serving the village and its generations through times of joy and sorrow.

We believe in the life-changing love of God, revealed in Jesus Christ and made real by the Holy Spirit. We hold Scripture as our guide, prayer as our lifeline, and community as our strength.

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning after a break, or looking for a church to call home, there’s a way for you to be part of all that God is doing here.

Choose your experience:

  • 8am BCP Holy Communion (1st & 3rd Sundays) — quiet, reflective worship at Shadoxhurst
  • 9:15am Holy Communion — rooted, prayerful worship at Kingsnorth
  • 10:45am Contemporary Intergenerational Gathering — joyful, creative worship designed for every age

Through small groups, prayer gatherings, creative projects, outreach, children and youth ministry, pastoral care, and community partnerships, we seek to live out our vision every day, serving our neighbourhood with generosity, compassion, and hope.

We’d love to welcome you into this adventure of faith, to see what God can do in you and through you as you join us in sharing his love, igniting hope, and investing in community.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [https://www.ashfordtownparish.co.uk/safeguarding] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://www.canterburydiocese.org/safeguarding#Contact%20Us].
