Daily Scripture

See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;(1 Thessalonians 12, 15-18)

Daily Reflection

Firstly, a thank you to all those in our villages who have taken the time to light up their houses for Christmas. Jesus called himself the " Light of the World", and I remember this every time the sun sets and the Christmas lights come on. This season is one of joy, and of hope - a season where we can reach out to each other (from a short distance!) and light up another's life - through doing good things for each other, through praying for each other and giving thanks to our wonderful God, knowing that nothing and no-one can change the plans He has for us. Throughout everything we have been through, and whatever is to come, Paul tells us to "give thanks". It may seem strange to thank God for a difficult year, but it creates such heavenly power when we choose to say thank you in the midst of adversity. Today, choose to say thank you to God - He alone can bring good out of difficult circumstances.
