Regular Sunday morning worship lasting approx one hour. Hymns with organ accompaniment and sung liturgy according to the Church season. Printed order of service for ease. Coffee afterwards at the back of church.

As part of the international 40 hours of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the week following Corpus Christi, St Aidans will be open on Tuesday 24th June between 11.00. am and 1.00 pm for quiet reflection. The reserved sacrament will be present on the altar in St Oswalds chapel in a monstrance. Drop in for some peace and prayer.

A small group meet once a week to pray for the local community, individuals with their permission, regional, national and international concerns. The group is lead by a lay person using a simple structure. The prayers commence at noon with the Memorial of the Incarnation (the Angelus) and lasts 20 to 30 minutes. Prayer requests can be left in the basket on the table at the back of church.

Rev Angela will be starting a coffee and creed group on Tuesday 1st July. She will provide a book of meditations by poet Malcom Guite for us to reflect on and pray with, based on each article of the Creed of Nicea, which has been in use for 1,700 years.

If you just want to drop in occasionally that’s fine, it’s not a course as such, so there’s no requirement to commit to each Tuesday.

Kettle will be on at 10.45 for an 11.00 start in church.

The prayer group follows at 12.00 if you wish to stay for that but again it’s ok if not.
