There is no service in the Esk Valley today. The nearest services are Holy Communion at Seascale at 10:30am and the pet service at Whitcham at 11am.

Revs Wendy and Robert Bracegirdle will take the service today to give thanks for our local farmers' harvest and their livestock. Robert will lead the singing of hymns in his usual energetic style. Do join us at St Catherine's church at Boot, amid the fields where the local Herdwick sheep and cattle graze. All are very welcome.

Our Rev Dave Pilkington will lead the service today, the 4th Sunday before Advent, continuing our journey of exploration of faith this year. Don't worry, you can join us at any stage on the journey. All are very welcome at the beautiful St Catherine's church on the banks of the river Esk at Boot.

Before the service, there will be the act of remembrance and laying of wreaths at the war memorial near Boot, at the turn off the main valley road to Dalegarth Hall, opposite the Old School House.
