"There are some days in the Church’s year that do not merely ask for our
attention; they invite our wonder. Pentecost is one of them. Christmas brings
the child. Easter brings the empty tomb. But Pentecost brings the fire, the
wind, the very breath of God. It is the day when the Lord filled his disciples
with holy boldness and sent them out as witnesses to Jesus Christ.
Today at St Oswald’s, Dean, we gave thanks for that same Holy Spirit still at work in
the Church and in the world. It was a joy to gather for worship on this beautiful feast
day and to celebrate God’s presence among us in prayer, fellowship, and Holy
Communion. May the Spirit continue to renew, strengthen, and guide us
The fire of heaven has not gone out, and the breath of Christ still moves among his
people, renewing, strengthening, and drawing us forward.
We look forward to welcoming you at St. Oswald’s Church soon.
God bless,"
Revd Christina
