Sunday Worship

As followers of Jesus we believe that it is important to meet together to worship God and encourage one another in our walk with Him.
We hold a wide variety of services which we hope will help everyone to meet Jesus and deepen their relationship with Him.
Everyone is welcomed to come and join us in our worship and our services are suitable for all ages.

1st Sunday
10am Holy Communion with Explorers

We gather together to worship God, read the bible, pray together and to remember Jesus death through the sharing of bread and wine.

Explorers is a group aimed at our children aged 3 - 11. Everyone starts in church together. During the service the children and leaders will make their way to the foyer where they will Explore the Bible for themselves discovering the rich treasures that God has for us.

2nd Sunday
10am All Age Worship

A service where we all gather together from 0 - 99+ to worship God, hear his word and lift up our prayers to him.

3rd Sunday
10am Holy Communion with Explorers

We gather together to worship God, read the bible, pray together and to remember Jesus death through the sharing of bread and wine.

4th Sunday
10am Cafe Church

A more informal service. We begin our service by sharing refreshments around tables. During the service we will worship, pray, read the bible and discuss the bible passage with people on our tables.

5th Sunday
9.30am Breakfast and All Age Worship

We meet to share breakfast (continental style), we then move into a time of all age worship. We will sing, pray, and read the bible together as we learn for teach and learn from one another about the love of God.

We are a lively and friendly Church, serving the homes and businesses of Windmill Hill, Norton and Murdishaw, which together comprise Norton Parish.

We are actively involved in our local community, and work closely with the other churches of Runcorn.

Together we want to help all ages
find in the love of Jesus Christ,
fullness of life and joy,
help for the present (whatever that may be)
and a sure hope for the future right into eternity.

SAFEGUARDING POLICY
PROMOTING A SAFER CHURCH
The following policy is to be approved at the Parochial Church Council (PCC) meeting held on: 20th July 2026
In accordance with the Church of England Safeguarding Policy our church is committed to:
• Promoting a safer environment and culture.
• Safely recruiting and supporting all those with any responsibility related to children, young people and vulnerable adults within the church.
• Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.
• Caring pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse and other affected persons.
• Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons.
• Responding to those that may pose a present risk to others.
The Parish will:
• Create a safe and caring place for all.
• Have a named Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) to work with the incumbent and the PCC to implement policy and procedures.
• Safely recruit, train and support all those with any responsibility for children, young people and vulnerable adults to have the confidence and skills to recognise and respond to abuse.
• Ensure that there is appropriate insurance cover for all activities involving children and adults undertaken in the name of the parish.
• Display in church premises and on the Parish website the details of who to contact if there are safeguarding concerns or support needs.
• Listen to and take seriously all those who disclose abuse.
• Take steps to protect children and adults when a safeguarding concern of any kind arises, following House of Bishops guidance, including notifying the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) and statutory agencies immediately.
• Offer support to victims/survivors of abuse regardless of the type of abuse, when or where it occurred.
• Care for and monitor any member of the church community who may pose a risk to children and adults whilst maintaining appropriate confidentiality and the safety of all parties.
• Ensure that health and safety policy, procedures and risk assessments are in place and that these are reviewed annually.
• Review the implementation of the Safeguarding Policy, Procedures and Practices at least annually.
Each person who works within this church community will agree to abide by this policy and the guidelines established by this church.
