St Mary's Rostherne and Holy Trinity Little Bollington

The Parish of Rostherne with Bollington contains two churches.

St. Mary’s is a large Grade I listed church situated on rising ground on the edge of the village of Rostherne and overlooking the bird sanctuary of Rostherne Mere. It was founded over 800 years ago and demonstrates various phases of construction.

The smaller church of Holy Trinity was built in the mid 19th century to the design of Anthony Salvin. It too is set in a lovely rural setting.

Both churches have in recent years acquired toilet and kitchenette facilities and social space. The congregation of the two churches happily coexist and visitors to any of the regular services at either are made very welcome .”
