Concert for Organ and Orchestra

An enthusiastic audience of over a hundred enjoyed John Gibbons' performance of Poulenc's dramatic Organ Concerto at a one-hour concert on Saturday 6 June, with members of the Northampton Symphony Orchestra and the Ealing Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mattea Leow. Peter Robertson was the soloist in a flute concerto by CPE Bach. The programme also included Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and the Albinoni Adagio, and ended with the Knightsbridge March by Eric Coates.
