All events Calendar Advent & Christmas

This year the Christmas Day service is at St Mary's, Great Milton, at 10.00 am, with the Archdeacon of Dorchester, David Tyler. The Crib Service is on Christmas Eve at St James', Little Milton, at 4.00 pm. On Christmas Eve we shall be gathering outside the Village Hall to sing carols and enjoy mince pies and mulled wine, from 6.00 pm. And we have two splendid events at St Peter's: the legendary Carol Service on Sunday 21 December at 4.00 pm, with the traditional Nine Lessons and Carols, and additional pieces sung by a large choir, and accompanied by our wonderful new pipe organ. Mince pies and mulled wine to follow; and Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, starting 11.15 pm, with the Associate Archdeacon, Jane Haslam. We look forward to welcoming you!

Food Bank Collection

Monthly. Every Third Saturday and Sunday at for 9 hours

Our village supports the local Thame Food Bank. On one weekend a month we invite contributions, with our church as the collection point. One of our members, who is a volunteer with the Food Bank, takes a carload of goods to Thame after the weekend.

Family Worship

Monthly. Every First Sunday at for 1 hour

On the first Sunday of every month we have a short (max 45 minutes) family-friendly service, often with a special focus e.g. Rogation in a local farmyard in May, a pets’ blessing in the summer, and our Harvest Festival in October in a barn on another farm. The services in January and March 2026 will include a baptism. There is a carpeted children’s area in the church, and there are always tempting refreshments afterwards.

Morning Worship

A monthly non-Eucharistic service for all the Benefice, and moving round the three churches, so that each one hosts it quarterly. At 9.00 am on the same day there is a BCP Holy Communion in one of the other churches.
