Regular Sunday Services: (Click for current schedule)

• 1st Sunday in the month at 9:45 am: Lay-led Morning Prayer

On the first Sunday of each month, we gather at 9:45am for a Morning Prayer service led by members of the congregation, rather than a clergy person. This traditional yet welcoming service includes Bible readings, prayers, hymns, and a short reflection – all in the beautiful rhythm of Anglican worship.

Our robed choir leads the music, offering hymns and choral pieces that lift the spirit and create a sense of peace and reverence. Quiet, reflective, and uplifting – a perfect way to start your Sunday

• 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays in the month at 9:45 am: Parish Sung Eucharist

A joyful communion service with hymns, sung responses, and a sermon. Led by a priest, this service offers the opportunity to receive Holy Communion and reflect on Scripture together. The music is led by our four-part robed choir, a traditional choir with soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts, the choristers wear robes to symbolize unity and reverence during worship services

• 5th Sunday in the month at 10:00 am: Benefice Service (held at Benefice churches in rotation: See "What's On" for current details).

Holy Trinity, Ashford-in-the-Water, is part of the Benefice of Bakewell with Over Haddon, Rowsley, Ashford in the Water,  Sheldon and Great Longstone.

This Sunday is Rogation Sunday—an ancient and beautiful tradition in the Church’s calendar when we ask God’s blessing on the land, our crops, our local community, and all who work with their hands.
Our Morning Worship led by Revd Alan Griggs and Alison Fletcher, our Agricultural Chaplains. will reflect on our deep connection with creation and our dependence on God’s provision. In a world where so much is uncertain, this service reminds us of the hope and renewal found in prayer, gratitude, and care for the world around us.
🌿 All are welcome—whether you live in the village, are just visiting, or simply long for a moment of peace and prayer in the beauty of the Derbyshire countryside.
Come and be part of this joyful, prayerful celebration of God’s goodness in creation.

Holy Trinity Flower Festival takes place during Ashford Well Dressing Week.
The theme this year is "Derbyshire folk". The displays by our amazing flower arrangers will showcase the many talents of people born or associated with Derbyshire.
