First Sunday of Lent Sung Eucharist at 9:30am

You are warmly invited to our Sung Eucharist for the First Sunday of Lent, led by Rev’d Brenda Jackson. We are especially pleased to welcome members of the congregation of St Michael and All Angels, Sheldon, who are joining us for this service. This reverent and reflective communion service includes hymns, sung responses, a sermon, and the opportunity to receive Holy Communion as we reflect on Scripture together.
The First Sunday of Lent marks the beginning of a more quiet and searching season in the church year. Lent invites us to slow down, to reflect honestly on our lives, and to walk more closely with Christ—through prayer, self-examination, and renewed trust in God’s grace.
Our four-part robed choir (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass) leads the music, supporting worship with beauty, reverence, and a deep sense of shared prayer appropriate to this season of reflection.
A traditional and thoughtful service, open to all—whether you worship with us regularly or are joining us for the first time.
