Address

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is one of those moments in the year when story and song meet in something quietly profound. Through nine short readings, we travel from the world’s first glimpse of light and promise to the birth of Jesus—the Word made flesh. Each carol answers the reading like a heartbeat of faith and hope. It’s not a performance, but a shared act of worship—a time to listen, to sing, and to be reminded that God’s story of love still speaks into our own lives and into the waiting world around us.
A after the service please join us for the traditional mulled wine and mince pies!

Christmas Eve Crib Service – a joyful start to Christmas

Venue
Holy Trinity Church, Ashford in the Water
Address
Church Street Ashford-in-the-Water, DE45 1QG, United Kingdom

Join us on Christmas Eve at 4.00pm for our family Crib Service – a short, relaxed and very child-friendly time of worship that helps us all, whatever our age, to pause and remember what Christmas is really about.
During the service we gather around the crib and tell the Nativity story in simple, accessible language. As the story unfolds, children are invited to help place the figures into the manger scene – Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the angels, and of course the baby Jesus. It’s a lovely way for little ones to take part and for grown-ups to see the story afresh through their eyes.
