For some years now the members of St John's Anglican Church have been joining with Bamford Methodists for morning worship on the 3rd Sunday of each month; recently we extended that and now we worship together in St John's on the first Sunday.It seemed right to go for 'all together' worship and so from May 2024 all our services will be joint (except for the 5th Sunday when it occurs)The regular pattern will be first and third Sunday in St John's Parish Church; second and fourth Sundays in Bamford Methodist Church, all services beginning at 11am.
There is already a pilgrimage route from Ilam to Eyam - called The Peak Pilgrimage - and this route from Edale to Eyam has just been added, Details are at https://www.peakpilgrimage.org.ukThe Hope Pilgrimage opened on May 17th 2021 and we are on the route. We are offering a Pilgrim Bonus - a 50p voucher which can be exchanged at our village community owned pub, the Anglers Rest, a short way up the road from church.
