St Peter

Welcome to St Peter’s Church. We share a regular pattern of monthly services with our other benefice churches; St Edmund's, Castleton and St Barnabas, Bradwell. Details can be found on the Services and Events page.

St Peter's is open each Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, and as often as possible throughout the week, though times cannot be guaranteed. Members of St Peter's work closely with Hope Historical Society, Hope Bellringers, Hope Wildlife Group and others, to assist High Peak Borough Council with the care and maintenance of Hope Churchyard. Further details of the history of St Peter's can be found on the Hope Historical Society website.

St Peter's is also on the Hope Pilgrimage route. More information can be found on their website here.  If St Peter's is closed when you visit, the stamp and the stickers are also available from Hope Methodist Church on Edale Road.

The parish of Hope: St Peter is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and our three parishes share a benefice Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Mr John Loveless, jrloveless33@aol.com or Rev'd Louise Petheram, rev.louise.p@gmail.com 01433 621918 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
