Facilities and features

Accessibility

The main car park is shared with EH.
There is parking available nearer the church for one or two cars, access is through the two sets of metal gates (but please be aware that the entrances are not generous) and there is enough space to drop someone off and the driver to then park in main car park if needed.

We have a non-slip safety ramp that is kept permanently in position.

The non-slip safety ramp is kept permanently in position for ease of access into the church.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the church, a water bowl is provided.

Follow the sign to Sutton Hall ruins, there is a shared car park for visitors to the hall and church users.

There is large print hymn books available and also at least two large print service booklets available at all services.

The facilities basically include a baby changing mat behind a screen. we are hoping when funds allow to enlarge the toilet area to include baby changing facilities.

There is a defibrillator located at the top of Hall Drive.

Our Building

The earliest recorded mention of the church dates to 1294.

Difficult for those in wheelchairs, who need assistance as it is very small. there is a disabled loo frame to help those who have some mobility. When funds allow we are hoping to enlarge the toilet area to meet the needs of the disabled.

Music and Worship

Groups, Courses and Activities

On the first and third Saturday from July to October, providing we have enough volunteers, we shall aim to hold a coffee afternoon in the church from 1pm until 4.00pm.

Help for Visitors

There are booklets and information leaflets available to read in the church which give a good guide to the history of the building and people who lived and worshiped in and around the hall and the church.

The church will be open for coffee afternoons and for worship on the dates specified on this website and in the posters which will be put up in the Hall drive, Arkwright and Duckmanton notice boards.
