Families are very welcome! We want to do all that we can to ensure children, young people and their parents/ carers feel comfortable. If your little one wants to dance - grab a flag and wave to your hearts content.
On the first three Sundays of the month, we have Kingdom Kids, our children's group in the Lady Chapel in church. Usually children stay with their families for the start of the service and then will be invited to go out to their group. Kingdom Kids is planned and led by our Children and Youth Worker, Rebecca and her team of fantastic volunteers. During the session there will be stories, games, crafts - all sorts!
Our young people enjoy serving on Sundays and can often be found helping on the AV desk or serving refreshments.
During the week:
The Ark: Our babies and toddlers group meets on Thursdays, 1 - 3pm at St. Luke's Church. It's run by dedicated volunteers from both St. James' and St. Luke's. It's a great place to meet with other carers, enjoy a brew and a chat, whilst the little ones get to play. There are lots of toys and activities set out, along with story time, songs, crafts and snacks!
6:30 Kids: Our community children's club meets weekly on Thursdays, 6.30 - 7.45pm during term time. It's a fantastic place to play games with friends, make crafts and find out about faith in a hands-on interactive way. We have a great group of volunteers that lead the group who make sure that everyone feels safe and welcome.
Roots: Roots meets on Sundays, 5 - 6.30pm at The Vineyard. This group is for secondary school aged young people, it's a time for fun, games, friendship, exploring faith and TUCK SHOP! It's a great group of welcoming young people and there's always space for more.
