We will gather we have come together on this day to commemorate the anniversary of Victory in Europe.
And as we remember the many soldiers, sailors, and airmen who gave their lives restraining evil and opposing tyranny, so we also come in thanksgiving for those who continue to strive for peace on this continent. We gather joyfully today, as those who gathered on that first Victory day, glad of each other’s company, and grateful for the laughter and love that follows times of sadness and loss.

St Leonard

Welcome to our  Grade 1 listed church which has been a place of worship and prayer since before Norman times.  It is open for private prayer all day, every day, unless there is a funeral or wedding. All are welcome to this ancient space where people have prayed for centuries, take a slow walk round the church or simply sit for a while.

The Churches of Peak Five welcome all to worship, irrespective of age or faith commitments. There are normally at least two services every Sunday somewhere within our benefice including a communion service at 11:15.
