St Leonard is the Church of England Parish Church for Thorpe, within the Diocese of Derby and is one of the Peak Seven group of churches.
Our Grade 1 listed church which has been a place of worship and prayer since before Norman times is open for private prayer all day, every day, unless there is a funeral or wedding. All are welcome to this ancient space where people have prayed for centuries, take a slow walk round the church or simply sit for a while.
The churches of Peak Seven welcome all to worship, irrespective of age or faith commitments. There are normally at least two services every Sunday somewhere within our group of churches including a communion service at 11:15. Our Services and Events page will show all services and events within the group of churches.
Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).
