World Day of Prayer Service

Occuring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church
Address
St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Darley Lane Derby

The theme of the World Day of Prayer Service this year is from Ephesians 4: 1 – 6. “I beg you, bear with one another in love.” The service was written by a group of Palestinian Christian women before the current conflict and deals with their own personal experiences. Their hope was to encourage and inspire other women around the world to bear with one another in troubled times. As has often happened before, this year’s service has been overtaken by a tragic set of events.
This service is offered, believing that we are called to support the Christian women who created it and we invite all those taking part to listen prayerfully to their voices. We pray with world leaders, relief workers, medical teams and all those praying about the situation, for an end to the killing, and for the wisdom to build a lasting peace.
After the Derby service lunch will be provided

St Peter's Littleover & Blagreaves

Welcome to St Peter's, the parish church for Littleover & Blagreaves.  We are an informal and welcoming church that worships God and serves the wider community.  Our Sunday service at 10am has a screen, band and lively worship as well as groups for our children and toddlers.  The midweek 10.30am Wednesday service is always Holy Communion and has no music, but plenty of conversation over coffee and cake after the service.  Everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced Christian or just beginning to explore faith - we are just ordinary people who love an extra-ordinary God and want others to know His outrageous love.
