ALL SAINTS CHURCH MACKWORTH VILLAGE GREAT NEWS!!!! The Parochial Church Council is delighted to let you know that the faculty application to rebuild your beautiful church has been approved by the chancellor of the Diocese of Derby. Our building contractor will be on site to start the next phase of the works in the next few weeks. Thanks be to God! Don McLure Parochial Church Council Project Lead. 5 October 2023
At last, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) has some positive news about the rebuilding of our beautiful church that I wish to update you about. On 3 July 2023 the Derby Diocese Advisory Committee decided to “not object” to our faculty application (the equivalent to a planning application) to start rebuilding the walls and roof of our church. This is good news and a big step forward. As part of the next steps process, we have entered into a 28 days statutory notice period giving anyone in the parish the right to object to our faculty application. The public notice has been posted in the church notice board on Lower Road and on the notice board on Langley Park Estate. The final decision to approve or reject our faculty application lies with the Diocese Chancellor and we are hoping to hear from him in September/October. The PCC will give you an update as soon as we hear from the Chancellor. Don McLure Parochial Church Council Project Lead
