Next Wild Church is Sat 10th October at 4.00 pm - It is on Fungi, with live music, activities and fire pit and a short service, we will start outside church if it's fine and will go to the Hall if it's wet. All are welcome.

Our last celebration of the 175th of St Mary's is a Trafalgar Tea with the hall dressed spectacularly, we will be commemorating a seaman's part in setting up the Chapel of Ease, remembering first world war minesweeper HMS Shincliffe and bringing out the Shincliffe Ship's Bell.

Tea is £3 for children and £6 for adults and there will be shanties! It is a church event in the community at 4.00 pm, and we hope you can join us. Tickets at the door. We will be collecting donations for Church repairs.

Church cleaning: takes place on the second Tuesday in the month at 10am. It takes about an hour depending on how many people come. This can vary from 2 to 7 people depending on people's commitments.  Many thanks, Margaret Charters

Foodbank: St. Mary’s is now making a weekly collection for the Foodbank:

The foodbank still needs longlife milk and fruit juice, tins of potatoes, vegetables, rice pudding, fruit and spaghetti. We always need household cleaning materials and toiletries

Many thanks for all your support, it is so much appreciated.

Friday Friends at 10am (FF@10) All are very welcome to join us; tea, coffee and cakes will be provided - all free of charge!’

My Sabbatical: I will be on Sabbatical leave from August until 3rd of November. The Church Services will continue as normal. During this period, please send all items for these Notices to Jane Walker at the parish office.
