In September and October this year the PCC will be considering the proposal: “that the PCC resolves to request via the Archdeacon of Durham and the diocesan Governance Support Manager that the legal process is begun with a view to the closure of the church of Holy Trinity, Cornforth”If this resolution is passed then it begins an 8-9 month or longer process leading to the permanent closure of the church building ( NOT the churchyard). Holy Trinity Church held two public meetings at the community centre earlier this year to raise awareness. Your answers to these questions are an important part of the decision-making.
