Place of Welcome

Occurring
Every Tuesday at for 3 hours
Venue
St John's, Gateshead Fell
Address
Church Road Gateshead Fell Gateshead, NE9 5RD, United Kingdom

All are welcome at the Place of Welcome that happens each Tuesday in St Johns, you will be sure of a warm welcome, drinks, biscuits, cakes (often home made) and home made soup.
We have people who come early and share a coffee and a slice of cake, others who come and stay all morning and then those who come just for their lunch.
All are welcome to join us.
We now have 2 spaces set out for this as the kitchen can occasionally become too full - so if you are someone who wants a quieter space that is on offer as well.
On the last Tuesday of the month at 10.45am we have a time of prayer through our Celtic Worship service which happens in the other small room or in church - all are invited to come along or to stay in the kitchen or back room.
If you have not been along yet do pop in - Shirley and Veda will almost always be on hand to make you a cuppa and serve you cake and soup. Other members of the congregation are often there as well, joining in the conversations, lending an
ear to a problem or sorting out something in church. We often have a member of clergy there as well - so if a chat with them would be helpful just let them know.
If you know someone who is lonely, recently bereaved or just in need of a friend why not bring them along a few times
