A Space for Reflection & Prayer at St Michael & All Angel's Houghton-le-Spring open for the duration of the festival at 'Open Church' times. In a world taht often feels fractured, hurried and divided, this space is set aside for something different.Around our parish church are seven interactive stations to help you reflect - or if it's your thing, to pray - on aspects of our overall theme this year of 𝑻𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑾𝒆 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕. There are instructions at each station BUT - there is no 'right' way to do this! If you have simply come for sanctuary - or if you just need to sit in the quiet, rest or be still in the presence of God - you are completely welcome to come into the parish church to do just that.St Michael and All Angels': Parish Church of Houghton-le-Spring and home of the Altar-tomb of Bernard Gilpin - the Apostle of the North.
