St Cuthbert's Parish Church

St Cuthbert's is a small village church, often referred to as a 'chapel'. We have a service every Sunday at 9.15am

We are part of a group of local churches which includes St Mary's (West Rainton), St Andrew's (Chilton Moor) and Christ Church (Lumley).

We are currently in a period of vacancy with no priest of our own, so along with the our sister churches we are served by a team of retired priests who visit us to take our services. In this way we can offer Eucharist (Communion) most Sundays.

The service can occasionally be a Service of the Word taken by a visiting Lay Minister- this is normally the first service of each month.

If you would like to contact us please use the information on the left.

We would love to see you and your family.

The Parochial Church Council of St. Cuthberts, East Rainton is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for everyone, especially for children, young people and vulnerable adults. It has adopted and approved the Church of England policy for promoting a safer church. This policy deals with all aspects of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
