This year The Jarrow Lecture will be held on Friday 23rd May - 7.30 pm - Admission is Free and refreshments are served afterwards. The theme for 2025 is:‘What has Bede to do with the Franks Casket?: The Wider Context’with Professor Leslie Webster, Honorary Visiting Professor at UCL. Former Senior Curator and Head of Department at the British Museum (1964 – 2007)On Sunday 25th May we have a Parish Service with Holy Communion which is open to everyone to receive communion or blessing. We will have hymns, prayers, space for reflection and will also be saying farewell to our Assistant Curate Revd Jason Wratten as he moves on to his first post at St. Alban's Cathedral.On Bank Holiday Monday - 26th May - we have the annual Summer Fayre and Jarrow Festival at church - inside and outside with lots of homemade foods, things to buy and things to do. Doors open at 11 and we remain open until 4.If you are unable to make it, our regular Summer Opening Hours for Visitors are:Monday to Saturday 10.30 to 3.30 and Sundays 2-4 pm.Our Team of Volunteers are waiting to welcome you!
