Accessibility
There is one bay marked in the car park for Blue Badge users
There is a ramped entrance into the main door of the church.
The main entrance is wheelchair friendly.
Assistance dogs are very welcome.
The toilet in the church itself has disabled and baby-changing facilities.
An induction loop is installed in the main church.
The Car Park is situated in St. Gabriel's Avenue in between the church and the first house. Parking restrictions are in place between 10-11 am and 2-3 pm on weekdays on the Avenue.
There are large print copies of Mission Praise available during those services when it is used.
Baby Changing Facilities are available in the Church, Underchurch and the Church Hall.
There is a defibrillator in the church car park.
Our Building
St. Gabriel's Church was built in 1912 and is a Grade 2 listed building.
There are toilets situated in the Church, the Underchurch and the Cutter Suite. All have disabled access.
Music and Worship
The organ is an outstanding instrument built by Nelsons of Durham in 1926. It has been updated and refurbished several times.
The Wednesday 10 am Holy Communion Service is from the BCP.
Groups, Courses and Activities
Beavers meet in the Underchurch from 6 - 7.30 pm on a Tuesday
Brownies meet on a Monday from 6 - 7.30 pm and Thursdays from 6.15 - 7.45 pm.
We have a Coffee Morning once a month in The Underchurch starting at 10.30 am.
Cubs meet on Tuesdays from 6 - 7.30 pm.
Guides meet on Mondays from 7.30 - 9.00 pm in the Underchurch.
Rangers meet on Mondays from 7.30 - 9.00 in the Church Hall.
Our Streetcare Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month to provide a meal for those in need.
There is a meeting of the Mothers' Union on the first Sunday of the month at 1.30 pm in the Barnes room
Rainbows meet from 4.45 - 6.00 pm on Thursdays.
Scouts meet on Mondays from 6 - 7.30 pm in the Church Hall.
