We celebrate in a traditional way on most Sundays however on the 1st Sunday of the month there is no Holy Communion and there is a more informal service held in the Priestman Hall with more contemporary music (this is our Celebrate Service). We extend a warm welcome to all who wish to join us at all of our services. Please note: Gluten Free Communion Wafers are available so please ask when you arrive at church. Please note that due to coved-19 situation there will be no wine served at this time and social distancing will be in place.

Fitsteps exercise classes (based around basic moves of Latin and Ballroom dancing) are held every Monday from 10.45 am - 11.45 am in the Priestman Hall at St. Andrew's Church. The class is suitable for all ages and abilities and no partner is required. No booking is necessary - just turn up and the cost is £3.50 per session. St. Andrew's Church runs a snooker club on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 pm - 10 pm and all day on Wednesdays from 9.30 am - 4pm. There is a yearly membership fee of £10 and a cost of £1.50 per night. Please contact Peter Elliott on 0191 5482437 for further details. Snooker takes place in the Priestman Hall at the west end entrance (to the left of the main entrance of the Hall) up the steps - please ring the bell for entry.

Celebrate is an informal worship service with music provided by a music group, it has a relaxed atmosphere in a 'cafe style' setting and uses an overhead projector with visuals and video clips. There is no Holy Communion at this service. Refreshments are available from 9.30 am which gives everyone a chance to mingle and chat and the service begins at 10 am. If you are new to Church and want to see what it's all about then this could be the service for you.
The Social Group (previously the Men's Group) meet fortnightly at the The Cliff Pub, Fulwell, Sunderland at 9 pm and take part in the pub quiz. We have a great time enjoying each other's company whilst raising money for the Tearfund Charity. If you're over 18 you are welcome to join us. Please check out our church facebook page for updates about the dates of the meetings in case they are cancelled. We also meet occasionally for our Social Club Curry Night.
