St Cuthbert, Red House

You are welcome to join us at 10-00am on Sundays for Holy Communion or a monthly morning prayer service with a midweek communion service on Wednesday at 6-00pm.

St. Cuthbert's Church was built in 1959 as the residential area expanded along the north of the River Wear.

It is a light,  "modern style" building with a good range of halls and facilities available for church and community use with increasingly beautiful gardens around the building for all to enjoy.

Our Team

Safeguarding

"Our parish of North Wearside is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Paula Barber or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Beth Miller. There are links to contact them below. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
