A real musical treat! Cambridge Early Music will be beginning its new season with an unusual event – a tour of four villages in one day with a short concert in each place. And St Mary’s, Fen Ditton, is one of the venues. It’s all happening on Saturday 27 September and the performers are the internationally-renowed, six-part male voice ensemble The Gesualdo Six. Our concert will be at 4pm and is entitled ‘Palestrina at 500’. The other venues are St Andrew’s Girton (11.30am), St Vigor’s Fulbourn (2pm) and St Andrew and St Mary, Grantchester (6pm). St Mary the Virgin, Fen Ditton

St Mary's Church stands close to the River Cam and is a much loved landmark for rowers, dogwalkers and others seeking refuge from the busy city.  Our parish includes the ancient village but also a good part of the urban development (built in old Ditton's fields) and all of the newest local development, Marleigh.  We have an active church community with services at 10.30am each Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when we join with our sister churches in Teversham or Horningsea.  There are regular midweek study evenings and a coffee morning on alternate Wednesdays.
