We'd like to warmly thank all those who supported the concert this afternoon, given by Hitchin Concert Band. Almost 100 people in the audience and just over 40 in the band made for a full church and and really lovely concert. Our Octagon Hall refurbishment fund has benefitted from your attendance and generosity. 
The music was wide-ranging, featuring soloists playing clarinet, bassoon and tuba. Rousing music from "Guys and Dolls" ended the programme and got a rightly deserved, prolonged ovation.
