As well as Christmas Trees, seasonal wreaths will feature in this year’s Festival in beautiful Landbeach parish church. Whether you are Crafty or Clunky, pitch in – on your own or with your group to join in the festivi-trees!
Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 November; All Saints’ Church, Landbeach
Amusing titles or themes for Trees or Wreaths add to the festive fun: a Pan-Tree; Chemistree; and Mys-tree [Harry Potter] have featured. Previous years have seen thoughtful, seasonal themes: ‘Bee Kind’ and a Food-Bank Tree among them. Many contributions have had an Eco, Sustainability or Vintage aspect.
‘Trees’ can be real, imitation, or created from other materials: egg-boxes and a maypole have been the basis for some very successful entries! Battery-powered lights are a ‘must’ so that everything can have some magical and mystical sparkle. Full details about size and other features are listed on the online entry form, or download the pdf at the bottom of this page.
Any questions can be answered by Jane on [email protected]
Everyone is welcome; admission is free. Any donations raised will support the Community Food Cupboard, plus the Warm Hub and Community Lunches which take place at the church on most Wednesdays.
Refreshments will be on sale at the Christmas Tree Festival, again, in seasonal style, and you can even vote for your favourite trees!
All entry forms must arrive by Sunday 23 November. Now is a good time to explore ideas and find resources!
Creativity and Fun are keynotes, wherever you are coming from: you don’t have to be ‘local’. Deliver trees to this respected old church on the evening of Wed 26 or Thurs 27 Nov (6-8pm). Park at the Village Hall, CB25 9FD and Find us here.
Can you give an hour or two to helping with this event? We need people who can help visitors find their way round and get the votes in for their favourite trees. Even if you can spare just an hour, please get in touch with [email protected]
