Maundy Thursday draws us into the quiet, intimate heart of Holy Week. On this night we remember Jesus sharing a final meal with his friends and giving them a new commandment—to love one another as he has loved us. In the simple, humbling act of washing feet, he shows that love is expressed not in power but in service. Our worship echoes that moment: a chance to receive Christ’s tenderness, to offer ourselves in service, and to keep watch with him as the shadows of Good Friday begin to fall.
