Tonight's episode of Look East on BBC TV featured a report celebrating the 80th birthday of Thomas The Tank Engine. Of course, this led to talk of the Rev'd W Awdry, who wrote the stories. Capitalising on this link, the weather was presented live from the front of the church. However, they also went inside and took a couple of pictures of the church and the lovely stained glass window that features Rev'd Awdry and Thomas. It was wonderful of them to mention that we have been without a vicar for 5 years and that we will be holding a service in Emneth at 10.30 this coming Sunday. Gives people a chance to catch up with the Rev'd Awdry in person, so to speak.
