This ancient devotional practice involves walking around the church stopping at fourteen points, which represent Jesus’ walk from Pilate’s court to Golgotha and his crucifixion and burial. At each station we will pause to contemplate an image, read Scripture and specially chosen poetry and texts, as we hold the suffering of the world in our hearts, in reflection, prayer and repentance.

The church is open to all, with welcome from volunteers.

Prayers and music drawn mainly from the Northumbria Community, influenced by the Celtic tradition of Christian faith.

Half an hour of shared silence in a circle, for prayer, contemplation, meditation or whatever it means for anyone of any faith or none.

Contemplative service, based on the daily worship of the Taizé Community based in Eastern France, with chants, icons, candles, prayers, readings from the Gospels and Psalms and silence.

From the Church of England's Common Worship, based on the ancient pattern of the Catholic mass, with hymns and sometimes other music, and a sermon after the Gospel reading. All are welcome to receive the symbolic bread and wine that speak of being “members of the Body of Christ”
