"Assembly Bangers" brings the joy of school hymns back to Stratford Park
Churches Together in Stroud (CTiS) is inviting the whole community to step back in time for a joyful afternoon of music and memories at "Assembly Bangers".
This light-hearted, open-air event will celebrate the much-loved hymns and songs that many will remember from their school days—those moments sitting cross-legged on the hall floor, singing at the top of your voice. From uplifting classics to nostalgic favourites, Assembly Bangers promises an hour of shared singing, storytelling, and community spirit.
The event is free to attend and open to all ages. Whether you know every word or just want to soak up the atmosphere, everyone is welcome to come along, join in, or simply enjoy the music in one of Stroud's most beautiful settings.
Please bring a chair or picnic blanket.

Alongside the singing, there will be short reflections and stories, celebrating the way music connects us—across generations and across the town.
