St John the Evangelist, Pauntley's Parish Church

Welcome to Pauntley Church, a place of Christian worship since about 1180.  Built by Norman stonemasons it sat between the manor house and it's farm, the centre of a small community - now that community includes the hamlets of Pool Hill, Brand Green and Ketford but is still a peaceful rural area.  Pauntley's most famous son was Richard Whittington, [ Lord ] Mayor of London 4 times and whose life gave rise to the story of Dick Whittington and his cat.

We have two regular services a month, Holy Communion at 11am on the 2nd Sunday and Evensong at 6pm on the 4th Sunday and our small friendly congregation are always pleased to see new faces, so do come along.
