I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome I received at my recent licensing service. The evening was truly special—filled with joy, affirmation, and a wonderful sense of community spirit that makes this place so unique. The service was especially memorable thanks to the uplifting music and the joyous peal of bells, which added such a celebratory atmosphere to the occasion. The church and grounds looked absolutely beautiful, and I am thankful to everyone who helped tidy and prepare the space. The flowers were stunning, and the delicious food offered the perfect opportunity to share in fellowship with so many new faces. Every detail made for a memorable occasion, setting a hopeful and uplifting tone as I begin my ministry among you.I am genuinely looking forward to meeting more of you over the coming months, discovering the richness of these communities, and learning all about what makes them so special. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to meet up, or if there’s an event you’d like me to attend. I would also be delighted to discuss baptisms or wedding services with anyone interested. If you’d like to contact me, you can reach me by email at rector.wickwarbenefice@gmail.com or by phone at 07716193532.I am excited about this new chapter in our parishes and look forward to sharing many joyful moments with you all.God bless you all,Revd Catherine
<br>Serious and specialised repairs are needed to the gable and bell tower of our wonderful Grade II Listed early Arts & Crafts church. We also have a serious leak, which is probably causing even more damage beneath the tiles. We will need expensive scaffolding even to establish what is going on, and the work on our unique gable end requires specialised oak and mortar. The work is likely to cost in the region of £30.000 - £40,000If you would like to help by organising a fundraising event, please contact:Ruth Buchanan on 07515 423465If you would like to donate by BACS, the account details are: Charfield Parochial Council, 55-61-38 79487440.
