Our usual pattern is to have a Communion service on the First and Third Sundays of the month, and a lay-led Morning Worship service on the Second and Fourth. If there is a fifth Sunday, we will join with other churches in the benefice for a single service in one of out five churches... not necessarily St John's.

A service in which we remember those whom we have loved and lost.
If you would like to have somebody remembered, please email their name to the Benefice Administrator [email protected] stating the person's name and that you would like them remembered at St John's, Charfield.

Following a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial outside the church, our service to remember those lost in warfare continues inside the church.

A service geared towards children in which the story of Jesus coming into the world is told using oranges, candles and sweets.

In conjunction with the Youth Group, but open to all. a chance to sing some favourite carols. light the Christmas Tree, and have mince pies and (if old enough!) mulled wine. Chocolate coins and squash as alternatives.
