Many of you have valued the opportunity to read and discuss a book during Lent so I invite you to join this year’s Reading Group. After much research I hope I have found an interesting and engaging book. ‘The Middle Eastern Jesus’ is written by Nadim Nassar, a Syrian Anglican priest now living in the UK. He will lead us through the gospels from the culture of the Middle East both at the time of Jesus and now. I have been excited by the insights of this book and that bodes well! Believe me, I swerved past a few books I considered either hard work or just boring.
**Could you let me know if you are interested in joining the Lent Group asap so that I can order in some books. They cost £16.99 each so rather than the Church meeting the full cost can I suggest a voluntary donation of say £5 towards the cost.

A family-friendly communion to mark Mothering Sunday, with refreshments afterwards (hopefully Simnel Cake!)

In Spring we try to ensure that the churchyard is ready for all who visit family graves. Whatever time you can spare on Saturday 28th March, will be gratefully received. Our working parties, last year, were very successful and made a real difference to the appearance of the Churchyard. These enable us to tackle tasks which normally have to give way to the regular round of mowing. If you can join us this time….. we will gather at 0930 or whenever you surface! There are usually plenty of jobs to do, so bring a few tools with you ....shears etc ....Coffee/tea and biscuits will be provided. With all your help….our churchyard is a credit to our parish.....let’s keep it that way! Hope to see you on Saturday 28th

Bring your children to St Mary Magdalene Church in Church End, during the Easter Holidays to enjoy fantastic Easter trails, in & around the Church. This activity is open to children of all ages. Trail sheets will be available from the porch of the Church from Saturday 28th March to the end of the Easter holidays.

Following on from the Twyning Chapel coffee morning (10.30am onwards) you are invited to join a Pilgrimage Walk at 11.30am, across fields to Twyning Church. A light lunch will be provided followed by family activities including a Scavenger Hunt, outside if the weather is dry.
