The Shantyfolk were so generous in their kind review and very generous donation towards the tower repairs.

"Absolutely fabulous evening at St.Mary's Church, Burrough-on-the Hill last night.

We were supplied with fish and chips and a drink before we started and then sang to an enthusiastic audience who were ready and willing to join in all the choruses. We sang "Happy Birthday" to Anne, a lively lady who was celebrating her 90th. birthday and were able to present our cheque for £750 to the Endometriosis UK charity.

From the proceeds of the evening we were able to add £200 to our charity pot and to make a £400 donation to the St. Mary's restoration fund. Huge credit to the organisers of a very successful event. I think we'll be back."
