From the Baptism Register. Kaysen Cresswell
Mothering Sunday 30th March 10.30am Cafe style service. All welcome
Rev Simon writes - Here at St Michael's church we seek to support people of all ages in exploring the Christian faith. We have a variety of events and projects to support primary school children which may be of interest to the people of Waddington and further afield.
Sundays - Roots Sunday School, every Sunday during part of the 10.30am service. An opportunity for children to explore the bible through songs, prayer, bible stories and activities.
Big Breakfast Church - 8.30 - 9.30am (2nd & 4th Sundays) - start the day with breakfast (drinks, juice, cereal, pastries) and church in an informal café style way before heading off to participate in the various activities in the diary. Activities, songs, stories, prayers, games, and a short talk are wrapped up in a theme for each all age service.
Midweek - Discoverers after school club, 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 3.30pm - 4.45pm. (in term time) - children arrive after school and tuck into a quick bite and drink. There's a story (often dramatic and interactive) and a medley of singing, games, and craft activities. The theme may fit in with what's happening in church at the time, whether it's Harvest, Christmas, Easter or Pentecost. At other times we focus on biblical character or teaching, but in each case it's a way of introducing the way the church celebrates and practices its faith.
Little Stars, Thursday 10 - 11.30am (in term time) - Our Little Stars toddler group meet to play, to chat and to explore a bible story through songs, story and craft activities. Drinks, toast and biscuits are available.
A Date for your Diary Sunday 18th May 10.30am. As part of our Annual Parochial Church Meeting, when we elect churchwardens and church members to the church council and hear reviews of the various aspects of the work of the church.
