Join us for a chat on the second Saturday each month. All you need to do is make a drink, grab a snack and settle down with your phone, tablet or laptop and Zoom to meet us! Drop in at anytime between 10.30am and 12.00 noon. We're looking forward to seeing you and having a chance to catch up.
Churchyard Gardening Club
In February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December. Every Third Saturday at 10 a.m. for 4hr
Do you enjoy gardening? Have you time to spare on the third Saturday each month? If the answer to these is 'Yes!' we'd love you to join us at our new gardening club.
We've set up an informal gardening club to care for the churchyard as a peaceful community space and develop it as a haven for wildflowers and wildlife. We hold a group session on the third Saturday each month from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm and anyone interested in helping out is welcome to come along. You can stay for a whole session or drop in for a while.
A few of the flowerbeds have been 'adopted' by volunteers who look after them. However, there are others in need of care, especially as we need to tidy things up before winter sets in. You can adopt a bed or area to look after regularly or have a look round and see what needs doing on the day.
Owing to CofE rules around Covid, we ask that you bring a face covering, gardening gloves and your own drinks, snacks and/or lunch with you. If you have them, please bring your own tools, particularly a spade or fork, hand fork, trowel and secateurs. Bring your waterproofs just in case!
With the new national lockdown, we fear it will be a number of months before we can even think about singing in person. With that in mind, we will resume choir zoom on 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. We start at 6pm and finish by 7pm. We plan to do a mixture of familiar and new music. We look forward to seeing new, returning and regular members!
Little Angels is a baby and toddler group and continues to meet on Zoom each week during term-time, providing activities for pre-schoolers and support for new parents. Little Angels Tots Group is a joint collaboration between St Michael's and Freedom Church Waddington. We want to serve God by helping to meet the needs of the community, offering a safe, warm, welcoming environment for children and their carers to enjoy fun, company and playtime. The group normally meets in the church every Thursday 1.30 - 3.00 pm in term time, but currently are meeting online via Zoom instead. To find out more, head to Facebook and search for Little Angels Tots Group or click the link below.
Online via Zoom Click on the link below to join the meeting. To join the meeting by phone (audio only) dial 033 00 885 830 and enter the Meeting ID (735 9939 4561) and telephone passcode (780871) when asked.
Join us online for our regular weekly prayer meeting - a friendly, informal service. Usually we start by talking about our answered prayers, before offering prayers individually and as a group for our local community and the wider world. There is no pressure to pray out loud in the part where we take it in turns to lead a prayer. Silent prayers are equally powerful! For more details, email [email protected]
