Arising from our Contemplative Fire Lincs at St Michael's session we now invite you to join us at Sabbath Rest...

The 3rd Friday evening of the month, where we will rest and relax around coffee and companionship; Where we share space and stillness, conversation and collaboration, as each needs and enter into a time of space and graciousness together.

Is this cafe church? Maybe in that we meet over coffee and are likely to gently talk or quietly contemplate about our journey with "God" or however we term and envisage the Divine...
Is this ContemplativeFireLincs? A little in that we will still offer Contemplative engagement, creative prayer stations and mindfulness colouring table and the space to make the time yours as you need it...

But its maybe more than that - it's maybe a chance to be friends and family instead of strangers gathered together, to share the graciousness of hospitality mixed with the blessing of acceptance however that looks for us.

This isn't about being anything other than who you are and being able to be that person in gentle conversation or mindful contemplation in community with others.

This isn't about conforming to an agenda but growing together, sharing or resting as you need.
This isn't about being convinced, but having the talks or finding the stillness in silence as you want.

Join us at Sabbath Rest where you are welcomed for who you are without expectation of anything else.

St Michael's Church, Waddington

St Michaels is a welcoming, active and inclusive church in Waddington, about 5 miles south of Lincoln. Built in the 1950s, after the previous church was destroyed during WWII, the building is located in the older part of the village on the Lincolnshire Edge. We look forward to welcoming you into our church.

We gather together each Sunday at 10:30am for our morning service. This service is often a communion service where we remember Jesus' death on the cross and his resurrection. There are refreshments after the service and our children's area provides space for children to play and explore together. On a Sunday evening (6pm in the summer, 3.30pm in the winter) we gather for a short evening prayer service. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays we also gather at 8:30am for our Breakfast Church service.

During the week the church is open 10am-4pm.
On Monday's we are open as a Warm Welcome Space 10am-4pm providing company, hot drinks, activities and lunch. On a Tuesday (term time only) our Discoverers after school club meets for ages 5-11, fortnightly from 3.30pm - 4.45pm.
Prayer Wave, our weekly prayer meeting, takes place online on a Wednesday morning at 9.30am and on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday we hold a 'Hope in Loss' group 6pm-8pm.
On a Thursday at 10am - 11.30am (term time only) our pre school group, Little Stars meets.
On the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month our men's group 'The Crew' meets at 10am.
On the second Saturday of the month we hold our community coffee morning 10.30am - 12pm.
