Topic: Lent Reflection - The Art of Lent
Time: 10am Weekday Mornings. 6pm Weekend evenings.

As we begin our Lent journeys together and separately. This particularly time is set aside to help us with that. We will view some artwork (curated by Sister Wendy Beckett), listen to her reflection on a particular topic; tomorrow's is Repentance, very apt to begin Lent. I will offer some prayers and we will hear a suitable hymn or song linked to the topic. Once that has finished you may leave or sit and view the painting and listen to the hymn/song one more time. be it. I hope that it might aid you in your own Lenten journey.

Mothering Sunday is a day honouring mother churches, the church where one is baptised and becomes "a child of the church. On Mothering Sunday, Christians have historically visited their mother church—the church in which they received the sacrament of baptism.
Today, for many it is a time to show our love not just for our mother church but for our Mothers as well. In many churches, flowers are given out to those who take on the role of ‘Mother’ within our families. For some families this can be the Dad, Grandparent, Family member or Carer.

We will be offering a new way of worshipping in the Benefice on the 18th of February in All Saints Church Ruskington at 3pm.Our worship will include images, activities, worship band, singing and fellowship. Palm Sunday is a special day for Christians. It marks the start of Holy Week and it always falls on the Sunday before Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem just days before his death. Jesus rode into the city on a donkey. People waved palm leaves and cheered him.
In our Church Service of Palm Sunday we are given a Palm Cross to take away with us as a reminder of this occasion and that Jesus died for us and for our sins.
