Goxhill Summer Concert, a huge success!

It was a lovely celebration of a summer's afternoon in this gorgeous church which was well attended by people from both Goxhill and the wider community. The event started with an organ recital by Mr Geoff Brown, the organist from St. Mary's church in Barton, followed by the talented ladies of the female quartet 'Local Vocals' who sang some well-known songs for the audience.  The buffet during the break was a wonderful selection of sweet and savoury including pate, Pimms and strawberries and cream, more than enough for everyone.

Then followed sessions by local soloists Olivia Eaton and Hannah Clarke who gave us a fantastic repertoire that ranged from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Dolly Parton to showcase their talents.

The concert ended in a flag-waving tribute to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ day on the 15th August with a 'Last Night of the Proms' sing-a-long experience.

Thank you to the many people who worked so very hard to put this lovely concert together.
