Simpler worship with words, readings and prayers in children's language. The sermon gets replaced with a children's talk and the hymns are more familiar ones we remember from our school days! Refreshments after Mass in our new 'comfy area'. Accessible loo in church. Less formal worship which starts later at 10am to help give parents more time to get ready for church which isn't always easy with little ones to get dressed and get out the house!

St Peter (Gunby Church)

Aiden's story

We are at a pivotal moment in our journey to restore a cherished community heritage site. Recently, we had the opportunity to meet with two Heritage Consultants who are eager to partner with us in securing up to £250,000 of Lottery Heritage funding. However, before we can embark on this transformative project, we need your help to cover some initial costs for their invaluable assistance in applying for funding, known as 'seed money'.

The scope of work ahead is significant and includes essential repairs such as a new roof, heating system installation, WC facilities, and various structural repairs. This ambitious project is projected to take around three years to complete and will breathe new life into our beloved site for generations to come.

Currently, we have a very limited amount of funds and no reserves to draw upon. Therefore, we are urgently seeking to raise £2,500 GBP to kickstart the early stages of this major initiative. Your support can make all the difference in helping us preserve our heritage and create a vibrant space for our community. Together, we can turn this vision into reality!
