Facilities and features
Accessibility
While step free, the pedestrian-only access is a rather steep slope through the front garden of the Old School House, next door to the church.
The number 50 bus runs between Lincoln and Louth/Mablethorpe, Mondays to Saturdays. See https://lincsbus.com/ for the timetable.
The church has an accessible, disability-supported toilet.
The disabled toilet can be used for baby changing, but there is not a baby-change table.
Our Building
The church is grade 2* listed and has interesting features from the 11th century, through to World War 1 memorials.
There is a toilet suitable for disabled people.
Music and Worship
Groups, Courses and Activities
The community runs a monthly coffee morning (1st Monday of the month usually), 10am-12pm.
The Friends of St Helen's Church & Community Centre exists to maintain and improve the building as a church and community centre, and to run community events. Contact the churchwarden for details of who to speak to about 'The Friends'.
Help for Visitors
There is a history display of the village, a plan of the graveyard created by the Family History Society, and more details about the church in booklets inside the church. Please ask if you can't find what you need.
The church is open regularly, but sadly has to be locked at times due to the risk of theft/vandalism. Names of local people with access to the key are on the church door, which means that members of the public can gain access quite readily.
Dogs on leads are welcome, but please be sensitive to other visitors who may be nervous of dogs.
If your dog becomes unsettled, please take them to the churchyard to see if that settles them. The churchyard is NOT secure, so please don't let your dog off the lead.
