On Sunday 25 January, Anne and Christine gave us a service which combined a celebration of Epiphany - the arrival of the Wise Men - and Candlemas - the presentation of Jesus at the Temple.  Candlemas (2 February) also traditionally marks the end of the 40-day Christmas period hence it is entirely right that a Christmas tree is peeping out in a corner of the picture.

Anne had adorned our beautiful St Adelwold's with candles - nice safe electric ones - in recognition of the fact that Candlemas is also the time to bless the candles for use during the year.
